After an overnight cross-Atlantic flight and three hours on a train any bed would have been sufficient. Breakfast was included, however I did not wake up in time. The staff did not speak much English, nor I much French, but were very nice and courteous and even helped me call a cab in the morning.
The shower was too small. The worst aspect of the hotel was its distance from the train station and from the city center. Online it was reported as a few miles away, but it was a fifteen minute cab ride by highway. I enjoyed the ride, but would have preferred to stay closer to the city.
Rooms are value for money, nothing special but cleaned daily. Staff spoke a little English and no German. Getting into Strasbourg is difficult and takes about an hour with public transport.
Not the hotel's fault but there is really nowhere to shop in the area.
Free parking, and breakfast was OK.
The room wasn't very clean. They didn't have a map of the city (Strasbourg).
Breakfast was good and hotel staff was nice.
The building is a bit old fashioned and room had a strange odour (probably cigratte). It is only recommended for low-budget travelers.
Hippotamus Restaurant near the hotel and -10% for the Mister Bad guests. This is bed and breakfast hotel not a honeymoon suite or Ritz. Clean and clear services no others. Sleep and go away like F1 hotels
Lowest price and easy accessibility by car. Extremely low standard, but on the other hand they also don't promise much. The dining hall is nice. The room has no desk, but you can eat in the dining hall or at one of the tables that are set up on each floor.
1) No desk. 2) Free Internet, but incredibly slow (can only be used to download text message emails without attachments; browsing is only not possible, if the sites contain images). 3) The "bathroom" was the worst. It's not a room but a separate cabin, and so small that you only have one degree of freedom (rotating around your vertical axis). All in all I felt that this is how it must be when living on space station mir. There was another low-cost motel across the street. They charge 4 Euros more, but I will try them next time, since I will not book this provider again, unless I can't find anything else below eur 45.
As for this type of hotel (similar to Formule 1 standard), quite good. The bathroom perhaps smallest ever, no cupboard in the room; everything very basic, but what can you expect for 25 euro per night?! There is also a good connection to the city center by train, however in the morning and in the afternoon, only. Otherwise, you need to take 2 buses which again takes some 1 hour 'chugging along'...
You get what you pay for - a tiny cramped room with bunkbeds and a tiny bathroom in which the shower overflowed. We were by one of the landing doors which slammed all night - we literally got about an hours sleep.
It was insanely cheap. The linens and towels were clean.
It is right off the highway (near other hotels/motels). We arrived at night and it had a shifty vibe. I can't describe it any other way.
It was close to the city center by car. Apart from that, nothing...
Some people from the staff were quite unpolite. The room is extremely small for 4 people, no place for the luggages, no wardrobe, no shelf at all. The "bathroom" is a joke... The accomodation is oinly good for one night if you travel alone and don't have any luggage.
Staff was very helpfull
Cleaning of rooms and repairing (eg change of torn carpets) should be improved/performed. Also at entering the room there was a smell of mold however after airing the room the smell was eliminated .
Conclusion: How can you say any complaints to a 30 euro room for 4 family? You can sleep well with killing every complaints by thinking of the price. Free WiFi in the room, Really "petit" breakfast as advertized. My family had a nice experience for the money.
Cigarette smell in the room even though we asked no smoking room. But, everthing is tolerable considering we paid only 30 euros for 4 families a night.
Other than it was halfway to Peschiera from Zeebrugge - nothing.
I stayed at this hotel twice, once on my way down to Italy, and again on the way back and I have to say that the whole hotel was generally shabby in appearance and reeked of cigarette smoke (even the linen/bedding - pillows etc) and smelt damp and musty. The carpets were dirty and stained; the beds are possibly the most uncomfortable I have ever (not) slept in and there were no towels supplied although we were given one when I went to reception - though this felt and looked none too clean. The Accomodation might suit a none too fussy chain smoking backpacker but it is totally unsuitable for anyone else. I will certainly not be staying there again as I pass through on way to Italy.
Cheap with free parking and internet.
Bathroom is small and furnture is very old.
The price is very attractive. Not the worst option for one night stay.
Hotel is located quite far away from the city and it's difficult to get there if you don't have a car. The room was quite dirty. However, nothing unusually bad if you are familiar with this type of hotels.
